Short answer
Message us about what you’re noticing. A licensed provider will review it and may prescribe anastrozole, order labs, or adjust your dose.
Signs your estrogen may be running high
Some men notice these after starting TRT:
- Sensitive or itchy nipples, or changes in breast tissue
- Water retention or bloating
- Mood swings
- Trouble sleeping or night sweats
- ED, low libido or fatigue coming back after they had first improved
What to do
Send us a message through your portal or email contact@alphamd.net. Describe what you're noticing, and a licensed provider will review it.
What your provider may do
- Prescribe anastrozole to keep on hand. It's an estrogen blocker you take only if you need it. Your provider will tell you how and when.
- Order labs to check your estradiol, testosterone and blood counts.
- Lower your TRT dose for a while. This is often temporary. Once your labs and symptoms settle, your provider can talk with you about moving back toward your previous dose.
