Where do I find my lab requisition?
After you pay for your lab order, Assist Health emails your requisition within one business day. Check your spam folder if you don’t see it.
Which lab should I go to?
Go to a free-standing Labcorp, not one inside a hospital or doctor’s office. Quest won’t accept the requisition. Walk-ins are welcome.
What should I do when I check in at the lab?
Bring only your AlphaMD requisition and show the barcode. Don’t show insurance, don’t say you’re self-pay, and don’t pay the lab.
When will a provider review my lab results?
A licensed provider reviews new results within 1–3 business days of receiving them. You’ll get a message with their recommendation.
When are my follow-up labs due?
Your first follow-up labs are due about 10 weeks after you start treatment. Once you’re stable, labs move to every 6–12 months.
Who is Assist Health?
Assist Health is our lab partner. Ordering your labs through them gets you discounted pricing at Labcorp.
Can I use my own insurance or a different lab?
Yes. Download your requisition from your lab order page, then submit it to your insurance or take it to any lab. You’re responsible for getting the results to us.
Can I add extra tests to my lab order?
Yes. When you order through Assist Health, you can add tests like ferritin, IGF-1 or DHT at the same discounted pricing.
How long is my lab order valid?
Your lab order is valid for 30 days. If it expires, message us and we’ll send a new one.
